We especially would like to thank all partners of the European comm_unity. Big Up for France that holds the record of participating bands. ?But it will be your turn soon! Everyone (friends, family, fans, curious and reggae lovers) will have the possibility to vote up to 2 groups for each national selection. Top of the bill this year is the welcoming of four new European countries - Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Belgium - all of which host some great festivals and really enhance the project community. Thanks to these additions the victory tour of the contest's winners now features 10 appearances instead of 6. Some important news concerning Italy, Germany, Spain and Slovenia: these countries will be holding live national finals from which the band that receives the most votes from the public and the technical jury will go on to represent their country at the European finals here in Osoppo. With an eye on the future we're looking forward to the inclusion from next year of a number of our Eastern European partners, which will enable us to boost the number of european countries involved. Sadly this year various linguistic barriers meant we couldn't go beyond the 21 countries already involved, as can be seen from the map printed on the homepage. Some good news for the bands whose members include non EU-citizens: This year you'll be allowed to compete, providing that you are resident in one of the countries involved in the contest, and that you have all the necessary documents and permits to travel in these countries. |
