BIOGRAFIA MY JAH
I My Jah sono un gruppo roots-reggae di Arzignano in provincia di Vicenza,
formatosi nel 2005.
La formazione è composta da sei musicisti, più precisamente da Mario Fornasa alla
voce e al basso, due chitarristi Stefano Facin e Vanni Parise, alla batteria Matteo
Zini,Valentina Bauce alle tastiere e voci e infine Emanuele Zini alle percussioni.
Tutti i membri possiedono un' esperienza musicale precedentemente maturata sia con
dei percorsi didattici che con la partecipazione in altre band.
Inizialmente il repertorio musicale era improntato su cover di gruppi e solisti reggae
molto rilevanti come UB40, Steel Pulse, Alpha Blondye Bob Marley.
In seguito vi è stato un incremento nella scaletta di pezzi propri, sia per quanto
riguarda i testi che per gli arrangiamenti musicali.
Ciò non toglie che nelle esibizioni dal vivo la band suoni tutt' ora qualche cover.
Nel corso dell' anno 2007, i My Jah hanno stretto un forte legame con Anti coi
Guanti, Dj reggae della provincia di Treviso, noto nella comunità reggae nazionale ,
molto impegnato nel sociale,e collaboratore anche del festival Rototom Sunsplash .
Grazie al rapporto con Dj Anti i My Jah hanno tenuto concerti nelle varie provincie del
veneto e anche oltre,fino a concretizzarsi in una apparizione al Rototom Sunsplash di
Udine nel 2009. Nel 2010 è uscito sotto etichetta Itan Reggae il loro primo EP, e si
sono esibiti al Winter Splash , Fucina Controvento di Venezia,al Memorial Bob Marley
di Udine e poi nuovamente invitati al Rototom Sunsplash 2010 a Benicassim Spagna
Attualmente sono in fase di arrangiamento nuovi brani. un album pubblicato con etichetta "BE records"
