LION D (David Andrew Ferri) vive a Pesaro ma nasce a Londra, nel 1982, da madre italiana e padre nigeriano e l'anno seguente ritorna con sua madre in Italia, dove vive attualmente. Dopo essersi appassionato al reggae nel periodo delle scuole superiori inizia a scrivere canzoni utilizzando la lingua giamaicana, il patwa.

Nel corso degli anni la passione diventa qualcosa di più e si esibisce in numerose dancehall in giro per l'Italia con vari sound (Burnin' Melody, Kaya Sound, Wadada Sound, Clean Heart, I-Tal Sound) e in occasione di concerti di artisti di fama nazionale (Sud Sound System, Villa Ada) e internazionale (Jah Mason, Pow Pow Movement, David Rodigan, Zion Train), presentandosi alla massive con il suo show in stile 'conscious'.

Nel 2007 pubblica un cd su basi giamaicane prodotto da Kaya Sound dal titolo KEEP THE FYAH BURNIN' ed esce su vinile 7" il suo primo singolo KEEP THE FYAH BURNIN', sul ritmo Israelites Part II, prodotto da Bizzarri Records. Nel luglio 2008 il singolo entra a far parte della compilation KEEP THE FYAH BURNIN' - BIZZARRI RIDDIM VOL. 1', prodotto da Bizzarri Records.

Nel 2008 si esibisce in concerti e dancehall in locali di tutta Italia e in Europa (Austria, Olanda e Ungheria), partecipa al Rototom Sunsplash con Miss Linda e la Magadog Band e al Festival Gusto Dopa al Sole in Salento in occasione del concerto di Burro Banton e Junior Reid.

Nello stesso anno escono tre singoli su vinile 7": 'REAL WARRIOR' e 'U KNOW THAT I LOVE U' prodotti da Bizzarri Records e 'INNA BABYLON' con l'etichetta Goldcup Records.
Un suo altro brano dal titolo 'MUSIC' entra a far parte della compilation 'TREBLE STUDIO 2008'.

Settembre 2009 è la data di uscita del primo album di Lion D dal titolo 'THE BURNIN' MELODY' prodotto da Bizzarri Records. Per il primo singolo 'U KNOW THAT I LOVE U' è stato girato un videoclip, in rotazione da giugno insieme a una preview dell'album.

Lion D si esibisce in concerti dal vivo con la LIVITY BAND e inna showcase style con BIZZARRI SOUND.
