Since the end of 2010, we are proud to present a new Roots-'Rock'-Reggaeproject: 'Collieman & Mighty Sunscape'. The initiative for this project was founded when Collieman was introduced to the members of Mighty Sunscape. A firm friendship immediately came into being, and in the soil of this fondness, the seed for a variant within the reggae-genre was planted. The search for a unique sound had begun, and was finally completed by the introduction of some new members. Meanwhile, they own a solid repertory and have given their first shows (autumn 2010) that we're warmly welcomed by the spectators & critics.
A name like 'Mighty Sunscape', with over ten years experience in creating intense reggae vibes, shall prompt ring a bell for the pure-bred lover of the genre. Nordine Ketami and his two younger brothers have always been passionate about playing reggae music, and have performed as backing band for several artists for many years. In 2010, various new musicians joined to improve the sound. This results in that which we can offer you today: an unique project within the Belgium reggae scène, playing songs that will not only enchant the classic listener of reggae music, but will also move the hearths of those not really into the genre. And with 'Collieman' on the microphone, accompanied by two talented backing vocals, they have found a perfect match to guide you through wonderful soundscapes. His sensible and well considered message of love & hope in times of poverty, hunger and likewise problems takes the people on the road to a different world. He has been called names like 'the Belgian Gentleman or Alborosie', and delivers another proof that not all reggae singers have to be Jamaican to please the audience.
