After 20 days of online voting by the audience plus those from the techincal evaluation by the 75 jurors, we can finally announce the results of this first part of the contest. Please note that the jury for UK and Ireland is still at work. The classification will be published asap.
5 bands have already been admitted to the European finals at Rototom Sunsplash, winners of five national/regional selections:ABDOU DAY from France, RAS DASHAN from Germany, STEPACIDE from Portugal, DANIEL ASHER & JCB from Sweden for Northern Europe, MALEO REGGAE ROCKERS  from Poland for the rest of Europe.
For all the other selections the second phase of the contest is now starting: live finals.
In Italy: six bands -ARAWAK, ARROKIBI ROOTS, DUB ALL SENSE,GOOD VIBE STYLA, MACI'S MOBILE, SUN SOOLEY.- will participate in the semi-final on 12th June at Parco Gondar in Gallipoli; and at Bosco Albergati, Modena.  The best four bands from this semi-finals will perform in Milano, at Magnolia, for the national final.
In Spain: THE UPSTTEMIANS, GREGTOWN, BANDITS will partecipate to the national live final on 11th June, at Sala Tabaoo in Madrid. Also Sauko B & One, winner of the Concurso Gallego, will participate at the final.
For the Benelux, on 18th June in Masticht, at the Muziekgieterij, the 4 bands selected are BLACK PROPHET & Thunderstrike dall'Olanda, DEEP CULCHA, YOUTH OF SPIRIT and ZION YOUTH  from Belgium.


For Austria and Swiss the bands that will perform at the House of Riddim Festival in St.Polten are: DELIMAN from Austria, HERBALIST CREW e AGAINST BABYLON COORPORATION from Switzerland.
For Czech Republic and Slovakia, the three finalists who will be on the stage of the Cross Club of Prague are PUB ANIMALS, HOMEBWOY RASTA and CHAOTIC, all of them from Czech Republic.

In Hungary, the bands that will perform at the national live final in Kobuci Kert of Budapest are OCHOMACHO, THE THREE TEADIES and ZAGASTIC

As always we had a great feedback from the audience, so 31897 is the amount of the correctly registered votes.

We’ve published all the partial classification, obtained only with the audience’s votes.

The juries are ending the evaluation processes and tomorrow we’re going to publish already all the final classification.

Many votes have been received up until today and yet in the last hour no doubt many more will be received!  There is not much time left until midnight on 29th May so get busy!
Meanwhile we can already confirm the winner  of the Gallego's contest sponsored by our partner Foundation Reggae Festival: this is SAUKO B & ONE, who will go through to the Spanish final on 11th May at Taboo in Madrid. On Monday 1st June the names of the bands that will continue on this great adventure will be online.

We have finally reached the second phase of the European Reggae Contest. Voting is now open!! You can surf the profile pages of the bands entered into the 2010 European Reggae Contest, listen to their songs (some of which are really outstanding!) and vote for the best. Your opinion is very important and especially to the bands who have entered. At the same time this is an significant and unique opportunity to get know what's going on right across the European scene.
29th May will be here before we know it!! Your vote, together with that of the jury, will decide which bands make it through to the finals. The number of bands who will be included in the final varies from region to region (please see the here for more info "contest2010-> select"). To cast your vote for a band, go to their profile page on the ERC site by clicking on region where the band is based on the map. You will be required to enter a valid email address to vote and will be sent an email asking you to authenticate your vote.
Please note: votes are limited to one band in each region during the voting period per email address. The 2010 ERC has received a total of 350 entries from all over Europe. This figure confirms the importance of the competition which has become a key meeting point for numerous promoters and bands from across the continent while becoming an evermore important project for the development of the European reggae scene in general .
